Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting's client is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to join a premier preschool in Valhalla, NY. This full-time, direct-hire position runs Monday through Friday year-round.

You will provide a safe, nurturing classroom, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and collaborate with staff to support young learners’ growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• CDA certification with relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience and 9 college credits toward CDA/degree with a plan of study.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
• Monitor well-being of each child in care.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Participate in trainings, workshops, and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.

Education

Salary

• $20.00 - $23.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Job Responsibilities

Lead Teachers Requirements – must meet one of the following:

• Option 1: Associate'sor Bachelor's degreein Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Option 2: Child Development Associate (CDA) certificationand at least 1-year of experience related to caring for children.
• Option 3:At least two years of experience related to caring for children AND at least 9 completed college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, with a plan of study leading to a: Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or a completed degree in a related field

Additional Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
• Must meet background check eligibility
