Job summary

Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) seeks a Lead Pre-K Teacher to develop curricula and daily plans that support each child’s development, fostering a love of learning through play and intentional instruction.

You will implement Conscious Discipline practices, align with accreditation standards, and work in a supportive team. Benefits include substantial leave, holidays, and growth opportunities within TASB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• May substitute relevant experience for education.
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in a licensed child care center.

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum and daily lesson plans based on each child’s development and goals of the Corner School.
• Use positive guidance and co-regulation to help children manage emotions and behavior.
• Collaborate with a team of teachers and participate in professional development.
• Direct the day-to-day functioning of the classroom and maintain warm, creative atmosphere.

About You

As Lead Pre-K Teacher, you are an energetic educator who enjoys creating magical moments that spark a lifelong love of learning in young children. You understand the value of play and the learning that takes place while children explore and create. In this role you will help students develop the academic and social skills necessary for success in their future school endeavors. You have an innate ability to recognize and make the most of teachable moments that occur throughout the day.

You have experience implementing or are willing to learn Conscious Discipline techniques as well as creating and executing age appropriate curricula. You are familiar with and practice accreditation standards and will play a pivotal role in our school achieving national accreditation.

Skills For Success

Education and Experience:
