The Goddard School located in Chicago (South Loop), IL 60616 is looking for motivated self-starters for multiple positions as Daycare Teachers at our new preschool for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our state-of-the-art facility is expanding in the South Loop neighborhood of downtown Chicago, just blocks away from CTA and Metra Electric.

Overview

A Lead Pre-K Teacher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, a teacher is responsible for working together with another teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.

Educational Qualifications

  • An Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.
Lead Pre-K Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Developing lesson plans.
  • Meeting the individual needs of the children.
  • Parent communication.
  • Participation in staff and training meetings.
  • Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level
