Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. This senior role involves interfacing with the power delivery team and managing technical project assignments while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, relevant experience in power system planning, and proficiency in PSCAD. Key responsibilities include leading a team, conducting power systems analysis, and supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in power system planning and studies.
• Experience with key North American Market Operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, etc.).
• Proficient with PSCAD and PSS®E for power system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage System Planning & Studies team and ensure resource utilization.
• Lead power systems analysis activities including load-flow and transient stability.
• Oversee continuous development of planning processes and methodologies.
