Job summary

Camden Plant Holdings (Camden) seeks a Lead Operations & Maintenance Technician to guide the daily operation of a 173 MW gas-fired combined cycle plant. The role oversees plant systems, trains staff, and ensures safe, reliable performance in coordination with management.

Applicants should have a New Jersey Blue Seal Boiler Operator license or higher and 5+ years in major power generation. The position requires on-site work in Camden, NJ with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

Must hold New Jersey Blue Seal Boiler Operator License or higher.
Minimum five years of experience operating and/or maintaining major power generation equipment.
Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) or other digital control platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee the day-to-day operation of the combined cycle facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
Monitor plant equipment and systems; investigate alarms, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
Perform and supervise startup, shutdown, switching, and equipment operations.
Coordinate operational activities with dispatchers and management to meet generation requirements.
Monitor environmental compliance, water chemistry, and plant performance.
