The Opportunity:

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (“SEL”) is seeking professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individuals for the Lead Power Engineer position located at our field office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

The Lead Power Engineer will develop and maintain strong technical expertise in SEL’s electrical power system equipment types, including protection, monitoring, and control issues. Responsibilities include:

1. Leading technical and market analysis related to proposed products or enhancements;
2. Gathering and maintaining data on competing products in assigned areas;
3. Drafting and maintaining application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets;
4. Developing and analyzing product specifications and functional tests;
5. Improving SEL research and development initiatives;
6. Mentoring and directing two Power Engineers, including authority over hiring, firing, and personnel actions.
