Job summary

Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) Limited is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer in Los Angeles to own the design and validation of 10–100 kW power converters, PFC circuits and DC-DC supplies from concept to prototype.

This role offers a base salary of $170,000–$250,000 plus pre-IPO equity and comprehensive benefits. You will work in a fast-growing aerospace/defense environment with ownership of critical hardware development and testing.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience developing power electronics, converters or switching power supplies.
• Knowledge of DC-DC conversion, PFC circuits or high‑power converter topologies.
• Experience with SiC, GaN, power magnetics or transformer design.

Responsibilities

• Designing high-power converters, switching power supplies and power conversion circuits.
• Developing PFC, DC-DC converter topologies and control strategies.
• Designing transformers, inductors, magnetics and EMI filtering components.
• Developing schematics, PCB layouts and prototypes, supporting hardware bring-up and debugging.
• Testing, troubleshooting and optimising power electronics for demanding aerospace applications.
