• Experience with Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Bash and/or Python.
• Knowledge of classical and modern control theory and estimation.
• Experience with embedded systems and real-time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the multi-year architecture for power control systems across Apple product lines.
• Design and specify control algorithms for battery, thermal, and performance constraints.
• Guide algorithm implementation from concept through embedded deployment with firmware teams.
• Analyze real-world data to identify architecture and algorithm improvements, incl. predictive power allocation.
• Review and approve control system designs across the power control domain.
• Mentor engineers and help set technical direction for the power control systems team.
