Central States, Inc. seeks an experienced Lead Powder Coat Painter to oversee daily coating operations, guide the team, and ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

You will train and mentor painters, troubleshoot coating issues, and drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong powder coating knowledge, and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of powder coating, industrial painting, or related manufacturing experience.
• Previous leadership or training experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to complete required PFT and FIT tests and wear respirator.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support daily powder coating operations to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Powder Coat Painters and production team members.
• Load and prepare parts for coating with proper surface prep and fixture setup.
• Operate and monitor powder coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth systems.
• Adjust paint flow, coating thickness, viscosity, and equipment settings for high-quality finishes.
• Monitor curing oven temperatures and bake cycles for proper adhesion and durability.
• Perform quality inspections to verify compliance with specs and standards.
• Troubleshoot coating defects, equipment issues, and process inconsistencies.
• Review production priorities and coordinate work assignments for efficiency.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety with PPE and respirator use.
• Assist supervisors with process improvements, inventory management, and production reporting.
