Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, Oregon is seeking a Lead Postal Clerk to manage daily post office operations, assist owners and guests with mailing, shipping, and retail needs, and ensure accurate mail distribution.

This role requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years in an office setting, experience in customer service, and proficiency with shipping software and POS systems. You will handle cash, coordinate with carriers, and may assume Manager responsibilities in the Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of office experience in fast-paced settings.
• Customer service, retail, administrative, office, or postal operations experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling, POS systems, or shipping software is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Able to multitask, problem-solve, work independently, and learn new technology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Process, sort, and distribute mail with accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist customers with mailing, shipping, retail purchases, and billing.
• Operate postal equipment, shipping software, package tracking systems, and POS systems.
• Perform general office and computer-based work to support postal operations.
• Maintain inventory of postal supplies, shipping materials, stamps, and retail merchandise.
• Perform cash handling, owner and guest account billing, and opening/closing procedures.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers, the Sisters Post Office, and Ranch departments.
• Assume Manager responsibilities in the Manager’s absence.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and assist with other admin tasks.
