State of California is seeking a Plumber II (Correctional Facility) to lead a crew at San Quentin. The role includes planning, laying out, inspecting plumbing work across water, gas, sewage and related systems, with supervision of incarcerated workers and coordination with outside vendors.

Applicants will be hired at the minimum of the classification or alternate range; the position is full-time, in-office at San Quentin, with a 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM shift and a Monday–Friday work week.

Qualificações

• Experience leading plumbing crews and coordinating work orders.
• Ability to plan, lay out, and inspect plumbing installations and repairs.
• Familiarity with safety rules and OSHA competent person requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, lay out, lead and inspect the work of a crew of plumbers and other workers.
• Instruct, lead and supervise incarcerated workers in plumbing installation and repair tasks.
• Prepare sketches and estimates for plumbing equipment and materials; maintain job records.
