JOB SUMMARY
A lead plumber serves the clients of the company by expertly servicing, repairing, and replacing plumbing systems.
JOB DUTIES
- Perform residential and light commercial service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.
- Identify potential problems to prevent premature and/or unexpected breakdowns/callbacks.
- Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, test joints, and pipe systems.
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details and procedures.
- Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, establish sequence of pipe installations, and plan installation around obstructions.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, ream, and install pipe and pipe fittings.
- Locate and mark position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power tools.
- Utilize Straight Forward Pricing (including all company approved forms) correctly on each call.
- Wear floor savers while in the client’s home and maintain a neat work area during repairs or scheduled services.
- Test each aspect of the job before leaving a home to ensure everything is working properly. Confirm the job was completed correctly and reduce callbacks.
- Explain each service performed to the client after completion, ensuring 100% satisfaction.
- Convey a safety-conscious attitude both on the job and while driving.
- Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of vehicles at all times.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Lead/Master Plumbers are considered senior level and typically operate their own truck.
