Job summary

Kingdom Services Group Ltd is seeking a Senior PLC Programmer to maintain, improve and support highly automated manufacturing equipment. You will program and fault-find PLCs, robots, HMIs and vision systems while driving reliability and throughput.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers and leading automation initiatives in Portsmouth. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with industrial automation, problem solving skills and the ability to own complex technical challenges

Qualifications

• Previous experience with PLC and software programming.
• Proven ability to train and develop others.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs is advantageous.
• Practical experience with Robot, HMI and Vision system programming.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and support advanced manufacturing equipment within a highly automated production environment.
• Program and fault-find across PLCs, robots, HMIs, vision systems, servos, RFID and other automation technologies.
• Provide mentoring, training and guidance to junior engineers within the automation function.
