Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to set strategic priorities for the company's platform across on-prem and cloud environments. You will guide DevOps efforts, drive security and resiliency policies, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure reliable services.

The role emphasizes containerization, IaC, and advanced monitoring. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Terraform, and ArgoCD, plus a strong cloud background (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 9+ years in Platform Engineer/related role in lieu of degree.
• 6+ years of platform engineering and infrastructure experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Expertise in automated interaction with physical infrastructure.
• 3+ years hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher for orchestration and cluster management.
• Proven track record in cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Nagios, Splunk, ELK).
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash.
• Experience with IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
• Experience deploying observability tools (Sysdig, Fluentd, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with GitOps and ArgoCD for CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic priorities for platform hardware, software, and network requirements.
• Share best practices for monitoring system performance and lead performance teams.
• Improve DevOps tooling and orchestration to support organizational processes.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to bring features into production.
• Oversee automated fulfillment mechanisms to optimize platform services delivery.
• Lead cross-team workstreams for smooth operations.
• Identify and mitigate security threats; set security compliance standards.
• Develop and implement security and resiliency policies per regulations.
• Review high-level design docs and provide actionable feedback.
• Analyze technical research results and present findings to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with vendors for mutual opportunities.
