Job summary

Alcon is seeking a senior Mold Tooling Engineer to design and optimize high-precision mold tooling and molding processes for quality, reliability, and throughput. The role includes leading trials, documenting processes, and validating materials, while mentoring others in molding excellence.

The candidate will drive improvements through DOE, CAPA, and process validations, and guide multi-functional teams through NPIs from concept to ramp-up, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering with plastics or mechanical focus.
• 5+ years in mold tooling, scientific molding, or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience validating molding processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own design and development of high-precision mold tooling and optimize molding processes for quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Lead mold trials, document processes, and assess material impacts on molding performance.
• Guide mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment qualification activities.
• Drive continuous improvement using DOE, CAPA, and process validations; lead NPI from concept to ramp-up.
