Lead Plant Production Operator
Pay Rate: $20/hr, paid weekly
Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm 12-hour shifts (May assist with night rotations)

  • Weekend and holiday availability required
  • Alternating weekly schedules (Week 1: 36 hours | Week 2: 48 hours)

Job Summary:

Our client is a growing manufacturer, currently seeking Lead Plant Production Operator to join our team at our Dunnellon, FL facility. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating processing equipment and heavy machinery in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining high standards of quality and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and company health and safety policies
  • Record equipment settings and product quality data routinely
  • Operate wheel loaders and forklifts safely
  • Train and support new hires on equipment and procedures
  • Lead team by example, delegate tasks, and hold team members accountable
  • Communicate daily issues and observations with management
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, alternating day/night schedule including every other weekend
  • Physical capability to stand, squat, and work in dusty, noisy, and warm environments
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools
  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach and supervise others
  • Willingness to document and report on performance issues
  • Fair and consistent leadership approach
Requirements:
