Lead Planner (Emergency Management) I & II

Consensus Solutions, LLC is seeking highly motivated professionals for two part-time roles as Lead Planner I & II (Emergency Management). These positions support a federal client’s mission to enhance disaster recovery and economic resilience by connecting communities with SBA disaster assistance programs.

Location: Remote, USA

Employment Type: Part Time (up to 20 hours/week), contingent upon award, with potential for extension or increased hours.

Duration: Approximately two months, with possible extension based on task order awards.

About the Role

The Lead Planner positions involve supporting disaster recovery and emergency management initiatives, leading analysis, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and developing plans and reports. The roles require collaboration with various specialists and government stakeholders to meet program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate emergency preparedness and recovery plans.
• Guide implementation of federal disaster assistance policies to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Manage cross-functional teams and resources to ensure compliance with legal and policy standards.
• Engage with communities and officials to integrate mitigation strategies into recovery efforts.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Support data gathering, analysis, and project governance activities.
• Apply project management methodologies to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

For Lead Planner II:

• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• At least two years in emergency management/disaster response.
• Master's degree or higher in a related field.

For Lead Planner I:

• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• At least one year in emergency management/disaster response.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.

Common Requirements:

• Experience in disaster recovery planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Ability to facilitate meetings, develop reports, and interpret data.
• Familiarity with project management and data visualization tools.

Preferred but Not Required:

• PMP Certification.
• Federal employment or consulting experience, especially with SBA.
