Job summary

Turner Mining Group seeks a Team Lead Pipe Layer to supervise a crew in Front Royal, VA, directing daily trench operations and ensuring safety compliance. You will read civil plans, set grades with pipe lasers, GPS rovers, and line transfer units, and oversee water, storm, and sanitary installations.

The role requires 5+ years in underground utilities and at least 2 years leading crews, OSHA 10 certification, and a valid driver's license. Direct placement, full-time permanent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underground utility pipe laying with leadership experience.
• Ability to read civil plans and perform precise grade/layout.
• Experience with pipe lasers, GPS rovers, and line transfer units.
• OSHA trench safety knowledge and daily safety inspections required.
• Valid driver's license and equipment operation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a crew to meet production goals safely.
• Read plans and establish accurate lines and grades using pipe lasers and GPS rovers.
• Oversee underground utility installations and field tests (air, mandrel, pressure).
• Assist with backfill and material handling; operate light equipment when necessary.
• Maintain daily production logs and enforce OSHA trench safety protocols.
