Job summary

Corthell Transportation LLC in Boise, Idaho seeks a High Pole Driver to operate the lead pilot car with a vehicle-frame-mounted high pole system, physically verify vertical clearances, and help ensure safe passage for oversized loads on varied routes.

You will maintain real-time communication with the main driver and escort teams, review permits and routing instructions, warn other drivers of restrictions and hazards, and perform daily inspection and maintenance of the pole, lights, flags, and

Qualifications

• Valid CDL and clean driving record.
• State-recognized Pilot/Escort Vehicle Operator certification.
• Ability to operate two-way radios and maintain communication.

Responsibilities

• Overhead clearance checks ahead of the load.
• Maintain two-way radio contact with driver and escort teams.
• Review permits and routing instructions.
• Warn traffic about restrictions and hazards.
• Inspect and secure pole, lights, flags, and gear daily.
• Document route anomalies and assist in safe passage.
