Job summary

Club Pilates seeks a Lead Instructor for Sloans Lake to deliver challenging Pilates classes, mentor peers, and uphold high safety and client experience standards. A passion for fitness and ongoing education is essential; leadership responsibilities include coaching fellow instructors and developing class plans.

The position offers base pay with incentives and bonuses based on class attendance, plus premium benefits and flexible scheduling for full-time and part-time candidates in a vibrant

Qualifications

• 450+ hour comprehensive Pilates education.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience.
• Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
• Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• Experience teaching 6+ participants in an apparatus-based group class.
• Demonstrated group Reformer instruction abilities.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically Pilates.
• Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars.
• Punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class (Reformer, Chair, TRX, etc.).
• Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and safety with modifications and progressions.
• Stay up to date with Club Pilates education standards.
• Develop safe, effective, and challenging class plans.
• Provide Pilates instruction including Intro, group apparatus, private and semi-private sessions.
• Maintain open availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Lead instructor conference calls and train staff on topics.
• Inspect equipment for wear and recommend updates.
• Track and review instructors for proficiency and performance.
• Mentor instructors to uphold standards and foster teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
