Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Bloomington, MN seeks a Lead-Pickleball to oversee club pickleball programming, including open play, clinics, mixers, leagues, tournaments and events. You will promote offerings through member engagement and manage scheduling, billing and communications.

You will partner with Corporate Racquet Sports leaders on strategic program changes, teach revenue-generating on-court programs, and may supervise staff while ensuring training and onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of pickleball.
  • Experience teaching pickleball.
  • Certification required within six months of hire (IPTPA/PPR/USPTA preferred).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience planning and executing events.
  • Able to work with all ages and build relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • CPR and AED certified.
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with Life Time's internal scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, sell and teach safe, professional and exciting revenue-generating on-court programs.
  • Interact with members through non-revenue producing activity and off-court program promotion (Open Play, Intro to Pickleball, information tables, marketing materials, member communication, etc.).
  • Provide administrative oversight of the club's pickleball programming, including managing scheduling, completing billing, etc.
  • May supervise club pickleball staff, working with the General Manager to scout and interview new staff and ensuring completion of their training and onboarding.

Position Summary

They promote pickleball offerings through member engagement and handle administrative tasks related to programming such as scheduling, billing, and communication. They partner with the Corporate Racquet Sports leaders on strategic changes to the program and broader marketing efforts, and teach revenue‑generating on‑court programs.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Position Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of the game of pickleball.
  • Experience teaching pickleball.
  • Pickleball teaching certification required within six months of hire.
  • Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
  • Experience planning and executing events.
  • Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
  • CPR and AED certified.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Requirements
  • International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA), and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR), and/or United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
  • Experience with Life Time's internal scheduling software.
Pay

This is an hourly position that pays $25 per hour for all hours worked, with an additional service incentive of 40% of personal on‑court revenue generated. The position is also eligible for an incentive based on the Pickleball department's performance.
