Job summary

Life Time is seeking an on-site pickleball coach at our Plymouth, MN location to teach private lessons and group programs. You will coordinate leagues and mixers while applying student-centered, rally-based teaching to grow your book of business and meet departmental goals.

Excellent service and a member-centric approach are essential for repeat business and referrals. The role requires 1–2 years of experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and certification within 6 months (IPTPA or PPR).

• Monitors and instructs students during pickleball lessons, teaching techniques and strategies.
• Develops safe, professional pickleball lessons and programs to promote ongoing involvement.
• Creates member experiences through programs, tournaments, and events, keeping facilities in good condition.
• Participates in sales efforts with Membership Advisors and attends pickleball meetings.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Monitors, demonstrates, and instructs students during pickleball lessons on proper techniques, tactics, and strategies to improve their overall pickleball game. Personally teaches on court on average 30+ hours per week.
• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement and a positive Net Promoter Score.
• Creates exceptional member experiences by involving members with programs, tournaments, and special events, fully utilizing available marketing support and tools, and ensures the pickleball facilities and equipment used for pickleball are clean, organized and in good working condition.
• Participates in the system wide sales effort with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, ensuring pickleball is an integral component of the Life Time brand. Attends specific meetings related to pickleball.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Within 6 months of hire must completed one of the following certifications: International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)

Preferred

• CPR and AED Certified

Pay

This is an hourly position that pays the higher of $15 per hour or minimum wage for all hours worked, with additional service incentive of 40% of eligible on-court revenue generated.
