Qualifications

• MD or DO board-certified or eligible in PM&R.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency.
• Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• 3+ years of post-residency PM&R experience including pediatric patient care.
• Experience with pediatric neuromuscular/musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
• Experience with spasticity management and assistive technology.
• Experience leading or coordinating interdisciplinary clinical teams.
• Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

We are seeking a Lead Physician – Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join a growing pediatric rehabilitation program in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a unique opportunity for a Pediatric PM&R physician who wants to combine meaningful direct patient care with clinical leadership and program development. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team while helping shape the future of Pediatric PM&R services.

• Provide comprehensive Pediatric PM&R evaluations and follow-up care.
• Treat conditions including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophies, spinal cord injury, TBI, autism, and other congenital or acquired disabilities.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation plans in partnership with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide expertise in spasticity management, including botulinum toxin, oral medications, and intrathecal baclofen when appropriate.
• Prescribe and manage assistive technology, wheelchairs, orthotics, prosthetics, and AAC devices.
• Lead interdisciplinary clinical collaboration and care coordination.
• Mentor and provide clinical guidance to rehabilitation physicians and team members.
• Support quality improvement, clinical protocols, patient safety, and program development.
• Collaborate with schools, hospitals, pediatric specialists, community partners, and other stakeholders.
