Overview

The Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Ft Logan (CMHHIFL) is seeking a full-time Faculty Lead Physician in the Department of Psychiatry. This position is based in the greater Denver area and requires in-person presence on the Ft Logan campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruits, orients, and supervises medical staff and ancillary personnel.
  • Develops and revises hospital policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitors hospital admissions and provides clinical reviews.
  • Manages outside medical services and coordinates patient care.
  • Addresses complaints and chairs hospital committees.
  • Maintains clinical privileges and medical license.
  • Performs site coverage for emergencies and after-hours calls.
  • Develops peer review processes and supervises clinical staff.
  • Coordinates pandemic response and ensures radiology safety compliance.
Qualifications

Minimum: MD or DO in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or related; licensed in Colorado.

Preferred: Inpatient experience; strong communication skills; knowledge of diversity and clinical research regulations.
