Job summary

Logan Regional Medical Center in southern West Virginia is seeking a licensed physical therapist to evaluate and treat patients through prescribed therapy programs. The role includes patient education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation, with supervision of assistants and aides.

You will work within a team to ensure high patient satisfaction, perform assessments across age groups, and leverage EMR systems while adhering to licensing and BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy, required.
• Current State Physical Therapy License required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Strong focus on patient satisfaction and teamwork.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with patients and families; address psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, families, and colleagues to ensure quality care.
• Assess and reassess patients across all ages related to therapy.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed assistants and support staff.
• Administer PT modalities and treatments and adjust as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and patient education.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices when appropriate.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards.
