Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing team. The PT will assess referred patients, establish treatment plans, and educate patients and families while documenting progress and outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PT program, Florida licensure, and supervision of PT Assistants. Prior long-term care or geriatric care experience is preferred; strong patient service and documentation skills are

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy college or university.
• Must have a valid Florida professional license and registration.
• The Physical Therapist is responsible for supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals.
• Document and record the patient's condition and educate patients and families.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
