Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking a Physical Security Engineer to lead high-level configuration and integration of access control and IP/analog surveillance systems. The role requires certification in multiple VMS and access control systems, and experience serving as a technical advisor and escalation point for installations.

Qualifications

• Have basic knowledge of network fundamentals and SQL databases.
• Mastery of IP camera technology, controller hardware, door hardware and credential technologies.
• Ability to communicate at a high level with customer IT staff and design system configurations.
• Function as an engineering resource for typical physical security projects.

Responsibilities

• Configure physical security and supporting systems at a high level.
• Program and commission line diagrams and as-builts.
• Provide technical oversight of project engineering and configuration tasks.
• Documentation and end user training.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and technical advisor.
• Participate in project commissioning and testing.
• Assist in enforcing standards related to final documentation.
• Assist sales with system design and quoting when needed.
