Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Physical Security Engineering to lead the Leased/Owned data center security designs across the AMER region.

You will supervise a team of Physical Security Engineers, set technical direction, and ensure compliance with AWS standards. This role involves pre-design diligence, design reviews, vendor coordination, and close collaboration with Security, Real Estate, Construction, and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of physical security design experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• 3+ years of physical security design experience in data centers or large-scale facilities.
• Experience managing external design consultants and vendor relationships at scale.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-project programs on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Physical Security Engineers across AMER Leased/Owned data centers.
• Set technical direction and ensure design quality and standards compliance.
• Oversee pre-design, due diligence, and design reviews across projects.
• Represent security in design forums and coordinate with partners.
• Travel up to 25-30% for site assessments and meetings.
