Job summary

Franklin Biolabs in King of Prussia, PA seeks an Associate Director for Physical and Chemical Characterization. You will lead a team of scientists, act as SME for key analytical methods, and drive strategy and compliance from preclinical through early/late clinical phases.

The role requires GLP experience, strong leadership, and collaboration across QA and cross-functional groups to ensure data integrity and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry, or life sciences.
• 7–9 years of analytical testing and method development experience.
• Experience with GLP studies (21 CFR Part 58).
• Formal certifications or education: None.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of scientists to advance cutting-edge research.
• Develop and implement analytical strategies.
• Act as SME for AUC, DLS, LC-MS–based assays, ELISA and plate-based assays.
• Provide direction and ensure clear objectives and expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and stay current with regulatory trends.
• Partner with QA on investigations for deviations and CAPAs.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with team, clients, vendors.
