Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in Boston seeks a Senior Photonic Test Development Engineer to join the Quantum Interconnect Division. You will design, upgrade, and expand the optical testing infrastructure for characterizing on-chip optical devices, utilizing both room-temperature and cryogenic setups.

Qualifications

3+ years in optical spectroscopy or equivalent mix of education and experience.
Master or PhD in engineering, physics, or related field.
Experience with room-temperature optical test setups and data analysis.
Strong data processing, visualization, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

Design, upgrade, and expand optical testing infrastructure for photonics devices.
Develop robust test procedures for component-level characterization.
Automate test pipeline, data acquisition, and analysis with scalable flows.
Collaborate with design, packaging, and system teams to improve testing features.
