Job summary

LNP Media Group in Lancaster, PA, seeks a Photo Editor to lead a team of three staff photographers and 10-12 freelancers in producing compelling visual journalism across platforms.

The role includes coaching reporters on photography, photo planning, archiving, and occasional shooting assignments; you will collaborate with editors and writers to shape coverage and ensure high-quality visuals for print and online.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a photographer, visual editor or business owner in photography.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field.
• Proven ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Pursue, teach, and advocate for powerful visual storytelling across platforms.
• Supervise and facilitate the work of staff photographers with feedback.
• Regularly edit photographs and pitch best images for print and online.
• Attend content meetings for photo coverage and collaborate on ideas.
• Plan Sunday print pieces and major digital projects with editors.
• Use analytics to guide photo assignments for audience potential.
• Maintain financial management of equipment purchases and freelance work.
• Maintain inventory of photo equipment and assign ownership.
• Other duties as assigned.
