Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting is required with lead experience.
• Certification in Phlebotomy from a certifying agency (for example, ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Orient and train new employees and students in phlebotomy.
• Prepare work schedules for the phlebotomy team.
• Register patients and manage specimen labeling and data entry.
• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to obtain blood samples.
• Assist in specimen collection when requested.
