Northwell Health is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist at Vassar Brothers Medical Center to oversee phlebotomy operations, including specimen collection and staff training. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma.

You will be responsible for coordinating daily workflow, mentoring new staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

This position offers a salary range of $18.13 - $34.50 hourly, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• High School diploma / GED or equivalent is required.
• Previous Computer Experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform and oversee phlebotomy operations, including specimen collection and patient interactions.
• Coordinate daily workflow, assigning phlebotomy duties.
• Train and mentor staff, providing orientation and skill development.
• Process and manage laboratory specimens.
• Handle computer and LIS tasks, including monitoring logs and placing test orders.
• Report and document issues, while offering solutions.
• Maintain professionalism and compliance with hospital policies.
• Support departmental operations and assist with customer service.
