Job summary

UofL Health's Jewish Hospital, Lab is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist to supervise phlebotomy teams, coordinate daily workload, and ensure timely specimen processing. You will perform technical tasks and lead responsibilities in a fast-paced hospital laboratory.

The role requires completion of a certified phlebotomy program, 2+ years phlebotomy experience, BLS, and strong customer service, communication, and computer skills. On-site 8-hour shifts, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy program preferred.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities of processors and phlebotomists.
• Performs phlebotomy and processing with accuracy and timeliness.
• Teaches phlebotomy classes to staff and orientation participants.
• Monitors time and attendance, workload distribution, and staffing.
• Ensures compliance with Infection Control, Safety policies and Medical Necessity.
