PharMerica is hiring a full‑time Lead Pharmacy Technician in Vancouver, WA. Join our closed‑door, non‑retail pharmacy team to support long‑term care and senior living communities. In this role, you’ll accurately enter and process medication orders to ensure timely and safe patient care.
Requirements
- Washington Pharmacy Technician License – REQUIRED
- PTCB Certification – New hires have 6 months to obtain certification and receive coaching and development from the company.
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 12:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Training: Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm. Shift differential: +$1.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Participate in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
- Monitor workflow and reassign Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
- Prepare Pharmacy Technician schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
- Fill prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
- Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non‑sterile compounding.
- Work in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.
- Work with automated machines to prepack drugs.
- Manage inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels, identifying expired medications, and maintaining Days on Hand.
- Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry).
- Mix/package IV medications, sanitize IV room, equipment and hood.
- Service facility‑based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Ensure technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Education / Learning Experience
- Required: HS diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Required: Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting.
- Desired: Prior supervisory experience.
Skills / Knowledge
- Required: Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer.
- Desired: Workflow management skills; scheduling skills; performance management.
Salary Range
USD $25.00 – $29.00 per hour
