Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician - preferred or prior experience as a pharmacy technician

Responsibilities

• Keep lines of communication open with Facilities Coordinator and Pharmacist Manager
• Manage pharmacy technicians from a team-oriented perspective
• Address and document struggles and triumphs with individuals
• Collaborate with other department coordinators
• Ensure tasks in the filling area are completed efficiently and accurately
• Train or delegate training on cycle and daily filling, printing labels, MARs and delivery lists
• Locate, count, package and label prescription drugs and supplies accurately and in compliance with regulations
• Efficiently utilize robotic machines and software to package and check medications for accuracy
• Assist with inventory, placing orders, check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items
• Resupply contingency boxes
• Sort and restock medications
• Assist all pharmacy technicians when needed
• Solve problems independently and collaboratively
• Manage scheduling for technicians
• Keep lines of communication open with Managing Pharmacist
• Manage data entry employees from a team-oriented perspective
• Input patient data accurately into the pharmacy system
• Screen calls for the pharmacist
• Communicate with medical facilities and prescribers to obtain refill authorization
