Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations at our mountain healthcare facility. You will enter patient and prescription information, assist in dispensing orders, manage transactions, and stock inventory under a pharmacist’s supervision.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, accurate data entry, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards. Provisional Colorado certification is required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Must be adept at typing and using various computer programs.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements, access forms and policies, enroll benefits, etc.
• Must be proficient in English reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technician by acting as a role model and training in the Pharmacy Technician processes.
• Enter patient information and prescription orders in the computer.
• Interact with third-party prescription plans to solve adjudication problems to facilitate processing of prescriptions.
• Profile and aid in dispensing of prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
