Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Back End department and help us deliver the best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.

Day In The Life:

As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives
  • Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
  • Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • PTCB National Certification

Education:

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is: $18.50 - $31.72.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
