Job summary

Lifedoc Health in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to work closely with the Pharmacist to optimize patient care and pharmacy workflow. This role emphasizes guidance, mentorship, and ensuring high-quality service to our patients.

You will manage MedSync, coordinate home delivery for eligible patients, oversee inventory, and support the team in fast-paced, patient-centered settings while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years retail experience in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy.
• Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician program and CERI certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with MedSync management and maintenance medications.
• Coordinate home delivery for eligible patients.
• Inventory and supply management.
• Perform workflow tasks and coach other pharmacy technicians.
• Collaborate with providers to expand patient access to care.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and company policies.
• Provide patient-focused service in all interactions.
• Process prescriptions using Pioneer Rx with precision.
• Fill prescriptions manually and via ScriptPro.
• Maintain stock for ScriptPro and general pharmacy use.
• Resolve third-party rejections and billing issues.
• Assist with prior authorizations.
• Assist with copay assistance programs.
• Ensure patient safety and accurate billing.

Job Summary:

The Lead Pharmacy Technician works closely with the Pharmacist to provide guidance and support that ensures efficient workflow and high-quality service to our patients. The Lead Pharmacy Technician will assist the Pharmacist in optimizing patient care and meeting pharmacy outcomes.

What You'll Do

Lead Pharmacy Technician Duties

• Assist the pharmacist with MedSync management maintenance medications
• Work closely with the pharmacist to coordinate home delivery for eligible patients
• Inventory and Supply management
• Able to independently perform workflow taskswhile also assistingwith the guidanceand coaching of other pharmacy technician personnel
• Work closely with the pharmacist to optimize and execute workflow
• Engage patients within and outside of the pharmacy to aid with expansion, growth and development of the pharmacy
• Prioritizationof patient care and a commitment to the well-being and positive outcomes of every patient

Additional Pharmacy Tech Duties

• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare thepharmacyfor opening
• Process prescriptions utilizing current pharmacy software (Pioneer Rx) with precision and accuracy
• Fill prescriptions manually and via ScriptPro robotic system following best operating practices to ensure patient safety
• Assist pharmacy manager with maintaining sufficient stock of materials/supplies for ScriptPro and general pharmacy use
• Efficiently resolve third party rejections and billing issues
• Assist with prior authorization documentation and coordination
• Assist patients with copay assistance programs and manufacturer coupons
• Collaborate with all providers and clinical staff to reconcile any barriers or obstacles limiting patients access to care that aligns with our company's mission and beliefs
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and company policies
• Provide caring, professional, patient focused customer service while conducting all face to face, telephone, and electronic interactions
• Contribute to the preservation of workflow through proactive decision making and willingness to complete tasks deemed necessary to adequately serve our patients and help the day progress smoothly
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards
• All other duties as assigned to enhance the patient experience

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years retail experience in fast paced high volume demandingpharmacy
• Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration
• Successful completion of apharmacytechnicianprogram and being ceri certified as a Pharmacy Technician is required
• Experience with an online prescription system
• Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
• Knowledge ofpharmacylaw and medical terminology
• Excellent (verbal and written) communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills with great attention to details
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to inspire team members as a top-notch team player while also able to work independently to accomplish goals
• Ability to establish and foster relationships that impact pharmacy growth
• Proven experience with accurately and efficientlybilling and resolving insuranceissues andthird-party claims
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
