The purpose of the Retail Pharmacy Technician Lead is to help licensed pharmacists provide medication and other healthcare products to patients. Technicians usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medications for patients, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles.
This position works in the retail pharmacy of a busy outpatient oncology/hematology clinic. This employee will have direct contact with patients, some of whom are very ill.
This position requires that the employee be able to stand and walk for up to eight hours a day.
This is not a supervisory position with direct reports.
