• Pay or shift range: $21.06 USD to $32.22 USD
  The pay range reflects the current compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Individual offers are determined based on directly related experience, skills, education, internal equity, and other job-related factors. Not all candidates will qualify for the upper end of the posted range.

Description

The Lead Pharmacy Technician performs under pharmacist supervision, a variety of technical duties related to the preparing and dispensing of drugs according to standard procedures. They serve as the department’s subject matter expert in all Pharmacy Technician duties, roles, and responsibilities. Additionally, the Lead Pharmacy Technician ensures accountability for daily Pharmacy Technician activities and resolves operational problems; serves as a point of contact for key stake holders; fosters and develops the Pharmacy Technician team; coordinates and provides hands‑on Pharmacy Technician training; and manages the Pharmacy Technician schedule.
Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Prior experience as a hospital pharmacy technician
• Experience with use of office software computer applications and keyboarding

Preferred Qualifications

• National Certification preferred
