Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) seeks a Lead Pharmacogenomics (PGx) leader to guide nationwide precision medicine initiatives. You will provide strategic leadership, clinical implementation expertise, and stakeholder engagement across sites to advance pharmacogenomics programs.

Ideal candidates have extensive healthcare project management experience, clinical operations insight, and the ability to collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and administrators to design scalable implementation

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant healthcare field and healthcare project management experience.
  • Experience implementing clinical pathways, processes, or workflows with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross-functional or multi-member teams.
  • Knowledge of pharmacogenomics principles and drug-gene interactions in clinical care.
  • Familiarity with CPIC, PharmGKB, DPWG, and FDA labeling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pharmacogenomics (PGx) initiatives across multiple sites or virtual environments.
  • Oversee design and implementation of clinical pathways, workflows, and toolkits with PGx best practices.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, pharmacists, lab personnel, and stakeholders.
  • Support review and interpretation of pharmacogenomic information and drug-gene interactions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to facilitate clinical discussions and drive consensus on PGx initiatives.
  • Contribute to development of clinical decision support tools and processes.
  • Evaluate guidelines from CPIC, PharmGKB, DPWG, and FDA labeling for integration.
  • Engage stakeholders to support goals and long-term sustainability of PGx programs.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and scalable solutions for clinical integration.
  • Monitor milestones, risks, and outcomes to ensure timely delivery.

Position Summary

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are exploringadding a highly experiencedLeadPharmacogenomics to support a high-profile federal precision medicine andpharmacogenomics (PGx) initiative. This role will provide strategic leadership, clinical implementationexpertise, and stakeholder engagement support tofacilitatethe adoption of pharmacogenomic programs, clinical pathways, and decision-support tools across multiple healthcare sites.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare project management experience, a strong understanding of clinical operations, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders including physicians, pharmacists, laboratory professionals, and healthcare administrators. This individual will help design scalable implementation strategies,optimizeclinical workflows, and support the integration of evidence-based pharmacogenomic practices into patient care. This positionoffers the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant healthcare transformation efforts while advising federal stakeholders on best practices for clinical implementation, workflow design, and sustainable program adoption.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage pharmacogenomics (PGx) initiatives across multiple sites and/or virtual environments, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of clinical pathways, workflows, and toolkits that incorporate pharmacogenomic best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, pharmacists, laboratory personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the review and interpretation of pharmacogenomic information, including drug-gene interactions and associated clinical implications.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) tofacilitateclinical discussions, gather feedback, and drive consensus on PGx-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of clinical decision support tools and processes.
  • Evaluate and apply evidence-based pharmacogenomic guidelines and resources, including CPIC,PharmGKB, DPWG, and FDA labeling.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to support project goals, implementation activities, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and scalable solutions to advance pharmacogenomics programs and clinical integration efforts.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to ensuretimelyand successful delivery ofobjectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health Administration, Health Management, Nursing, Health Administration, ora relatedhealthcare field.
  • Demonstrated project management experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience implementing new clinical pathways, processes, or workflows involving multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and leading cross-functional or multi-member teams.
  • Knowledge ofpharmacogenomicsprinciples, including drug-gene interactions and their application to clinical care.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based pharmacogenomic guidelines and resources, including CPIC,PharmGKB, DPWG, and FDA labeling.
  • Experience with clinical workflow design, process improvement, or toolkit development.
  • Experience supporting the development or implementation of clinical decision support tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability toprovidestrategic guidance and develop scalable, sustainable healthcare solutions
  • Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship

The posted salary range is the company’s good-faith estimate for this role. PFS benefits and compensation are determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, location; the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience; as well as contract and organizational requirements.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000
