Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee retail pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with standards. You will supervise staff, verify prescriptions, provide drug information, and manage records and inventory in a high-demand setting.

The role requires a PharmD or Pharmacy degree, Michigan licensure, and ongoing continuing education. Flexibility to work a minimum 8 hours weekly is expected to support patient care and team operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of Michigan; must complete continuing education hours for re-licensure every two years.
• Pharmacist-in-Charge must work at least 8 hours per week in the pharmacy, per Michigan rules.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets, and fills prescriptions with patient profile reviews for allergies, interactions, dosage, and pricing.
• Supervises pharmacy staff and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of drugs dispensed and narcotics as required by law.
• Provides drug information and counseling to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintains pharmacy equipment, safety, and sanitation; supports inventory and ordering processes.
• Ensures billing, record keeping, and quality assurance activities are performed.
