Job summary

PharMerica is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge for our Albuquerque, NM location. This full-time role involves leading a non-retail, long-term care focused pharmacy team with responsibilities spanning compliance, operations, and clinical support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent is required.
Active and unrestricted license in the state of practice (NM).
Demonstrated pharmacy experience with long-term care considerations.
Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and computer use.

Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and standards.
Supervise and direct pharmacy staff in scheduling, purchasing, and clinical tasks.
Collaborate with management to implement efficient daily operations and quality improvements.
Provide clinical and technical support to pharmacy and regional staff.
Respond promptly to pharmaceutical inquiries from customers and staff; provide expert guidance.
Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation in the pharmacy system.
Ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance and policy adherence.
Perform additional duties to support the pharmacy team and patient care goals.
