Job summary

Penobscot Community Health Care in Bangor, Maine is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee our busy Penobscot Community Health Center pharmacy. Join a dedicated team delivering high-quality care within an integrated clinic setting.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week), typically four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, with opportunities to advance within the organization and contribute to residency programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) in charge of the pharmacy operations.
• Work with integrated care teams in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday).

Responsibilities

• Supervises the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Maintains inventory control over OTC and prescribed medications.
• Performs Pharmacist in Charge responsibilities defined by Maine Board of Pharmacy.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians.
• Ensures compliance with the in-house 340B program.
• Serves as a clinical resource for clinic providers.
• Acts as a preceptor for Pharmacy Residency Programs.
• Collaborates with other PICs, Pharmacy Operations Manager, and Executive Clinical Director of Pharmacy on initiatives.
• Other related duties as assigned.
