Summary

As a Lead Pharmacist Analyst, you support the required analytics, report design, data integration, and transformation processes crucial to the function of Gainwell Technologies' Single Pharmacy Benefits Manager services for Ohio Medicaid. You will serve as a data analyst performing research and requirement analysis, creating and designing data specifications and mapping documents, and presenting findings to team members, clients, and vendors. You will determine best practices and provide suggestions on how to improve current practices.

Your role in our mission

  • Coordinate with the State Business Intelligence Operational Database Contractor to fulfill all reporting requirements set forth in the client contract.
  • Design and manage reporting as specified in the client contract.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and track reports from request to resolution for all ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Perform predictive modeling and trending reports in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate opportunities related to medication use in the associated populations, identifying trends, correlations, and drivers of health inequities, considering prescribers, pharmacies, and managed care organizations.
  • Support data analytic needs for Pharmacy Clinicians, Operations Leaders, Call Center, Managed Care Entities, and Ohio Medicaid.
  • Facilitate or participate in JAD, RAD, and DSD sessions to define and understand business requirements and present detailed system design documentation for data interfaces, data conversions, and data exchange methods.
  • Work with customers and account management to control project scope, refining and approving project details.
  • Escalate concerns like delays or risks early to project management.
  • Work towards delivering initial solutions to ETL developers for coding, understanding which details can be deferred.
  • Support DSD creation and response.
  • Coordinate with the configuration team to ensure consistency of configuration with interfaces and mappings.
  • Refine mapping documents, add details, and resolve questions.
  • Support testing phases including Unit, System Integration, System, and User Acceptance Testing.

What we're looking for

  • Experienced Pharmacist with 5+ years utilizing drug databases.
  • Experience with pharmacy data using databases like First Data Bank, Medi-Span, ICD.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, capable of creating meaningful reports with visualizations like hot-spotting and graphics.
  • Experience with SQL, data models, data dictionaries, and schemas for healthcare business analysis.
  • Experience analyzing healthcare plan data, including medical claims, data mining, financial processing, member eligibility, provider networks, MCO contracts, audits, and reporting in compliance with federal and state regulations.

What you should expect in this role

  • Remote position based in Ohio.
  • Expected to visit Ohio office twice a quarter.
  • Video cameras required during interviews and the first week of orientation.
  • Up to 10% travel expected.
