The City of Dallas is seeking a Pesticide Applicator to apply herbicides, insecticides, and fertilizers on public grounds in compliance with state and federal regulations.

You will operate and calibrate sprayers, inspect turf and facilities, maintain logs, and assist in grounds maintenance, ensuring safe and responsible chemical use and documentation. This is a full-time role requiring a valid license and driver’s license, with teamwork and safety leadership emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of city, state, or federal codes, ordinances, rules, and standards in pesticide and herbicide application, management, and operations.
• Knowledge of application techniques, methods, and procedures of pesticides and herbicides.
• Knowledge of equipment calibration techniques, pesticide chemicals and the usage, and chemical application safety techniques.

Responsabilités

• Operates and calibrates sprayers to apply herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, and fertilizer chemicals to public grounds and facilities.
• Inspects turf and facilities to determine chemical types and ensures safe application by considering wind conditions.
• Maintains an application log with dates, locations, quantities, and types of chemicals.
