U-Haul is seeking a Repair Shop Lead Person at our Sacramento location to coordinate with repair teams, supervise daily operations, and uphold high standards of vehicle care.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools used in vehicle repair.
• Understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics and repair processes.
• Ability to read and interpret repair instructions and electronic pre-inspection data.
• Requires valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and supervise Repair Shop teams (preventive maintenance, trailer, detail, van body, etc.).
• Read and interpret Electronic Pre-Inspection information.
• Maintain professionalism with a coaching disposition.
• Assist repairing equipment using appropriate tools and procedures to restore vehicles.
• Identify ways to improve operation efficiency and customer service.

Lead Person Primary Responsibilities

• Manage coordination and supervision of various U-Haul Repair Shop Teams, i.e., preventive maintenance, trailer, detail, van body, etc.
• Read and interpret Electronic Pre-Inspection information.
• Maintain professionalism and a coaching disposition.
• Assisting repairing equipment using the appropriate tools, technologies and procedures in order to restore vehicles to proper working condition.
• Seek ways to improve business operation efficiencies and customer service.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.

Repair Shop Lead Person Minimum Qualifications

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need.
