This role in summary

Under the general supervisor, performs a variety of duties to facilitate the preparation, loading, and shipping of foreign and domestic shipments.

  • Serve as a backup to the Supervisor but will also be in the daily rotation. Must be flexible and able to work with the Supervisor and adjust the schedule to ensure coverage of shift.
  • Must be able to perform all shipping functions including trucking, pull/pack orders, and RF Scanners. This includes heavy lifting, climbing, and bending.
  • Interact with the Supervisor to help achieve our Packer Productivity measures.
  • Responsible for the safety of the Packers and security of the building during the supervisor’s absence.
  • Lead by example. Positive attitude and support of Management decisions to promote and maintain employee morale.
Minimum requirements
  • High School Diploma and 4 years experience with shipping operations and procedures.
  • Must complete an approved Supervisory training program within one year of position acceptance. Previous supervisory experience may be evaluated in place of education requirements.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to pass on information to Management or the next shift.
