Job summary

ATCO Rubber Products, Inc. is seeking a Lead Person for the 2nd shift in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This role will oversee shift operations under the Shift Supervisor and assist with assignments, setup, and problem resolution to keep production on schedule.

The position requires lifting up to 70 lbs., familiarity with gas-powered forklifts, safety awareness, and the ability to read schedules and labels. Full-time hours, with a 2nd shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, then 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and understand written schedules, labels, packing lists, and company policies.
• Ability to count and understand percentages.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, push, walk, bend and stoop.

Job Title: Lead Person for 2 nd shift

Job Summary: Perform selected leadership duties of shift operations under the direction of the Shift Supervisor.

Job Duties:

• 1. At the start of a shift, and under the direction of the shift supervisor perform the following:
• A. Aid in employee work assignments
• B. Determine who is absent, or not at a work station
• C. Help set up machines or lines to run scheduled product.
• D. Assure that required production supplies are available and in the proper location
• E. Aid machine operators or assemblers with any startup problems.
• 2. Advise shift supervisor of any safety problems or unsafe acts.
• 3. Aid in the collection of production data at the shift end.
• 4. Keep the area clean.
• 5. Other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.

Equipment Skill: Operations of gas-powered fork truck, a stretch wrap machine, and various hand tools.

Physical Activities: As required on a short term basis, run a packing machine, work at any of the three assembly positions, help load and unload company transfer trucks. Requires lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, walking, bending, and stooping.

Physical Skills: Must have normal or corrected vision to 20/20

Must be able to hear fork truck horns and voice commands from other workers

Educational Skills: Must be able to read and understand written schedules, labels, packing list, and company policies.

Must be able to count and understand percentages.

Expected Hours of Work: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Training hours Work hours (2 nd shift)

6:30 am to 3:00pm a couple weeks 3:0 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

• $19.00 / hour
• Plus $1.00 shift premium when on 2 nd shift hours
